The Library is pleased to announced the recent renewal of the Read and Publish deals with both Springer Nature and Sage academic publishers.

The Springer agreement, which runs until December 2025, gives authors free publication in more than 2,000 journals across the Springer Nature porfolio including Nature, Nature Research journals and Palgrave journals.

The Sage agreement runs until December 2024 and offers free publication in all Sage hybrid journals. Under this deal, authors also receive a 20% discount on fully gold journal APCs. 

These deals are open to all University of Portsmouth corresponding authors submitting research articles to any eligible journal. All articles will be published with a CC-BY licence.

These are in addition to our existing agreements with publishers including Elsevier, IOP, Wiley and Taylor & Francis. Please see our Current Read and Publish deals for the complete list and the relevant terms and conditions.
