The Health and Wellbeing Theme, alongside Caroline Strevens, would like to invite you to this interdisciplinary workshop to promote wellbeing in professional students through curriculum design.
The Workshop
This workshop is part of a series which continues to be supported by a collaboration between SLS Legal Education section (SLS), Centre for the Study of Legal Professional Practice, City Law School, London (CSLPP), School of Law Portsmouth (PLS), York Law School (YLS), Osgoode Hall Law School (OHLS) and the Legal Education Research network (LERN).
Includes presentations by Lydia Bleasdale Leeds, Professor Rachael Field Bond Law Schooland Russell Crawford and Dr. Sarah Aynsley Keele Medical School
Collaborative knowledge exchange
Health Science and Law share educational concerns such as vicarious trauma in clinical education and a further workshop is planned in order to develop the exchange of different disciplinary approaches to supporting psychological well-being with a view to contribute to the scholarship of professional educational research
Panel discussion on curriculum design between City and Portsmouth Health Science and Law Schools to include safe spaces, approaches to vicarious trauma in clinical education, resilience building in professional students, curriculum design underpinned by principles of positive psychology, international perspectives
