In the spirit of International Open Access Week, as part of the Research and Innovation Staff Development Programme there is an upcoming information session focusing on the topic of research data management.
Do you want (need?) to find out more about research data management? Sign up for this information session.
Some of the topics that will be discussed:
- data management plans
- data storage during your project
- archiving and sharing research data
- licencing
- re-using other people’s data
- GDPR and ethical considerations
Not sure if the content will be relevant to you? Take a look at the Library’s Research Data Management page.
Please contact researchdata@port.ac.uk if you have any questions.
Research Councils UK, other external funders and the University of Portsmouth all have policies on research data, access and storage. To help researchers get to grips with data management this session will explain how these policies relate to researchers and the options available within the University for the management and storage of research data and what needs to be included in the data management plans for grant applications.
