The potential for collaboration between the Isle of Wight and the University of Portsmouth is huge. This event will explore the main challenges facing health related providers on the Isle of Wight such as the Council, Clinical Commissioning Group and charitable providers. Areas of expertise from the University will also be displayed. The event will highlight areas of potential projects to address some of the challenges with real impact to these organisations, UoP’s students and the wider community on the Isle of Wight.
There will also be an opportunity for a tour of UoP Port-Eco House. Port-Eco-House is a three-bedroom house located on campus that is dedicated to research into building performance, particularly in relation to energy usage but there is a desire for health, ageing and wellbeing research to be included. The house is equipped with monitoring systems that record variables that affect building performance and there is the potential to add more health monitoring equipment as projects require.
