The Portsmouth Research Portal showcases University of Portsmouth (UoP) research personnel, our research projects, outputs and outcomes. Providing a publicly accessible, fully searchable and navigable interface, with information drawn directly from the University’s Current Research Information System (CRIS), Pure.
While we all transition to a greater proportion of our time being spent working from our homes, UoP staff and students can still access Pure as a web based system which is fully accessible as we work remotely.
Open Access regulations help remind us to add outputs to Pure within 3 months of acceptance, but now might be a good time to add other content that contributes to academic Performance and Development Reviews (PDR). For example, Activities such as organising a conference or being awarded a national or international Prize.
Pure passed information directly to the PDR system for the first time in 2019, and the validation team witnessed a 63% year-on-year increase in content being created in the system, so the sooner you add the information, the sooner it will be ready for PDR selection.
It could also be a good opportunity to explore and familiarise yourself with Pure. There is a lot of scope to demonstrate the hard work you have been involved in, from displaying Projects to developing a CV.
The Pure Team are available to answer your questions and help you get the most from your profile, and drop-in sessions will continue in a virtual format. The twenty-minute, one-to-one sessions will be tailored to your requirements, whether that be technical issues, queries to do with reporting, or just general help with navigating the system and adding content.
Please feel free to get in touch at pure@port.ac.uk with any queries.
