panel 1

One of the best ways to improve your grant writing is by gaining a new perspective on the application process by sitting on a review panel. Those who have had this experience have said that it was hugely valuable and changed the approach they took to writing grants.

We are encouraging any academics that are interested to experience this for themselves by completing an Expression of Interest form to be a reviewer or panel member for the British Council’s research programmes (which includes the Researcher Links and Newton Fund-related activities).

The British Council are currently looking to expand their pool of reviewers and panel members and are asking for both early career (up to 10 years from PhD or sufficient research experience) and senior researchers with the following specialisms to apply:
-Biological and Medical Sciences
-Environment and Agriculture
-Arts and Humanities
-Social Sciences
-Engineering and Physical Sciences

They are particularly keen to hear from researchers who have the following subject specialisms:
– Human rights
– Forensic anthropology
– Marine biology/Oceanography
– Aquaculture
– Public health/Nutrition
– Food science
– Microbiology
– Earth Sciences
