We’re really proud to have won this year’s award and Green Champions Amy Doyle (from RIS) and Carley Hawkins (from Purple Door’s Employability department) are already gearing up for next year’s challenges!
Green Impact is an environmental accreditation and awards scheme run by the NUS. Over 50 Universities take part each year, completing a range of task relating to recycling, community engagement and reducing our carbon footprint.
In the academic year 2014-2015, 32 departments here at the University of Portsmouth took part in Green Impact, with only 3 teams achieving the gold award. Green Door scored a massive 1003 point, completing 125 tasks.
