Business leaders in the Portsmouth area are invited to celebrate Responsible Business Week on Thursday 27th April, organised by Business in the Community (BITC) and the University of Portsmouth. Key note speaker Mark Smith, CEO of The Southern Co-operative, will share his thoughts on how to lead a responsible business.

The University of Portsmouth Business School and Business in the Community will come together at the event to provide local employers with an opportunity to explore latest thinking, share best practice, and find solutions to some of the challenges currently facing business and society.

Event organiser Professor James McCalman, Director, Centre for Strategy and Leadership at University of Portsmouth said: “We feel very proud to be able to host this event as we feel that universities are great places for responsible business practice to begin. Some of our students have been shadowing business leaders this year which has provided them with crucial insight into the world of work, providing inspiration about how they will approach their future careers.”

The event will take place on Thursday 27th April from 16.30 – 20.00 at Richmond Building, Portland St, Portsmouth, P01 3DE, car parking is available nearby for a fee of £2 after 5 pm.
