This policy is for academic staff and refers to a sabbatical which is a continuous specified period of absence from the University for the sole focus on advancement of scholarship, research, innovation or teaching. It aims to support the development of academic staff skills, knowledge and expertise, and it must align with the strategic objectives and ambitions of the University, as well as result in an outcome that contributes to the Strategy.
The first applications under this new policy can be made in September 2016 via Deans.
