The Researchers’ Network hosted the Directors of the University’s five thematic areas

During two networking events last Thursday and Friday researchers from across the University were able to meet with the theme Directors for informal discussions.

Thursday’s event proved very busy with lots of enthusiastic discussions between researchers and theme Directors. Friday’s event was a little less hectic and allowed for a more detailed discussion on the Directors visions and aims for each of the themes. Both events provided a great opportunity for the theme Directors and researchers to identify opportunities and sew the seeds for future collaborations. Across both events researchers had the opportunity to share their ideas about how they could contribute to the development of the themes. Overall feedback from attendees was positive with lots of enthusiasm for the themes as platforms to grow interdisciplinary research and innovation.
